38: The Threshold of Dominion

  Wellentag 6th Sommerzeit After defeating the dreaded puppets, you went back to Bluecher’s where you had left Berta guarding him, and told him he was now safe. He was very grateful, although Berta was concerned you hadn’t required her grave digging skills, again, and had just dumped the puppetmaster’s body in the Rijk. You headed back to Frau Koester’s. You were all pretty beaten up, but the night’s sleep didn’t do you that much good. You hung around all day doing nothing, resting and recuperating, feeling sorry for yourselves, and just picking up a few supplies. 37: The Puppetmaster

Wellentag 6 th Sommerzeit So, seeing the bird-puppet flying towards Laangmaar Dock with moony in its beak, you decided to follow them there. Berta was still shocked and wounded from the pink fire, and decided not to come. But the rest of you arrived at Laangmaar a good few minutes behind the marionettes. The fairground was now deserted and felt eerie in the misty darkness. Dietrich cast his wizard’s eye over the fairground but couldn’t spot any conspicuous magical winds, but you could at least remember which tent the puppet show had been set up in. As you approached the tent, Max felt something grab his leg and he looked down to see the halfling strongman had crawled from under one of the tents and was trying to tackle him, badly. Then one of the acrobat sisters emerged from behind a tent and did a flying somersault combo to try to charge at Balden, but missed him completely.
